Hi, my name is Kelly and welcome to Full Voice Studio. I’m a singing voice expert specialising in the development of young female voices aged 8 to 25 years. I have a PhD in vocal pedagogy and have over 26 years’ experience teaching at some of Sydney’s most prestigious girls’ schools including Abbotsleigh, Ascham, Meriden, McDonald College, and Wenona.

In addition to my private teaching, I also lecture creative arts subjects at several universities. I have enrolled over 200 students in AMEB singing examinations (Distinction average) and I’m highly experienced at preparing students for HSC examinations, with seven of my students receiving ENCORE nominations.

As one of Australia’s leading young voice experts, I am regularly invited to present at conferences and workshops both locally and internationally.

Teaching young voices to sing is very different to teaching an adults voice. To start, the young female voice continues to grow and develop until around the age of 15, with the biggest changes occurring between the ages of 12 to 14. Secondly, young girls often become more self-conscious and anxious during this age.

With this front of mind, I take a holistic approach to teaching young voices. Not only do I ensure students are given expert singing instruction that is tailored to their vocal phase and goals, I strive create a safe and supportive space that allows them to explore their voice and confidence without fear of judgement.

Our Lessons

1:1 singing Lessons

Whether you are preparing for your HSC examination, tertiary entrance audition, musical theatre audition, or just for fun, we tailor the lessons to the student’s capabilities and goals to maximise their vocal development.

Ages 8 – 25 years

Junior singing

This 45 minute class is for children aged 8-11 years with limited singing experience and covers the basics of singing technique in a fun and supportive way. It is a perfect way to try singing lessons.

Ages 8 – 11 years
